Prince Skyline Deluxe(1957: ALSID-1)

Skyline, the one of the greatest cars in Japan, grew side-by-side with Japan's motorization and won a great number of glorious victories in the motor sports scene. Its first model was rolled out in April, 1957. It was developed as a successor of Prince Sedan and is categorized into the current premium cars. The big rollout at Tokyo Takarazuka Theater also became a hot topic. The body was decorated in an American style with chrome moldings at the side and the small tail fin. The mounted engine was "GA30" of inline 4-cylinder OHV 1484cc, and generated 60ps. The maximum speed reached 125km/h that was fastest among domestic cars. The Skyline generations are famous for innovative technologies, and this first generation is no exception - equipped with the first De Dion type axle and 2-speed windshield wipers. The first 4-lamp headlamps were applied at a minor change in February 1960 to improve driver's visibility at a high speed.
