Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. merged with Prince Motors, Ltd., the former Tama Automobile, in 1966. Tama manufactured "Prince Sedan" with the engine by Fuji Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. It was rolled out in March, 1952. "Prince" was named after the ceremonial investiture of the Crown Prince of Akihito (His Imperial Majesty as of July 2018) and was used as the company name and the brand name. The equipped engine was called "FG4A". F is for Fuji Precision Machinery, G is for gasoline engine, 4 means four cylinders, and A means the first engine developed by Fuji.
Prince Akihito became fond of this model at the 1st Tokyo Motor Show held at Hibiya Park in 1954 and purchased it later.
This car is the very treasurable car that Prince Akihito actually drove by himself.
