Datsun Sunny 1200 B110 was released in 1970 after the first generation 1000. With the image of a family car, it evolved into a car with abundant appealing items. The copy "A car next door looks smaller" is still talked about. Mounted A12 engine (4-cyl.in line OHV, 1171cc) was utilized so much that it was admired as one of the best-performing engines in motor sports.

Interior space was largest in the class and interiors such as meters and seats were of rich-conscious designs. Mechanisms of upper grade including auto-ventilation system and shock-absorbing instrument panel were adopted. This is Sunny "1200GL" grade that was used in advertising when the model was released.
