R'nessa EV / Altra EV (1998: EVN30)

Nissan has continued R&D of EV that originated from "Tama electric vehicle" in 1947 by Tokyo Electro Automobile Co. Nissan started to sell Cedric EV in 1991 and Avenir EV in 1994 mainly to companies. "Prairie Joy EV" was released in 1997 as the world's first car with lithium ion battery.
This is "R'nessa EV" manufactured based on a minivan R'nessa (N30) and released in 1998. It was equipped with many technique elements such as flat floor, non-contact charging system, air conditioner with remote controller, EV-dedicated digital meters, lithium ion battery and permanent-magnet synchronous motor, all of which would be implemented in the first generation Leaf (ZE0) in later years.
