Partnership with Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity International is a humanitarian aid organization founded in the U.S. in 1976. Working in over 70 countries, Habitat partners with families in need of decent housing to build affordable and sustainable homes.
Nissan's partnership with Habitat for Humanity International began in 2006 when Nissan North America supported Habitat's efforts in areas affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Since then, Nissan North America has donated a total of $15.5 million. From 2009, the partnership between Nissan and Habitat for Humanity expanded to Australia.
In 2012, Nissan Motor Co.,Ltd announced a $1million U.S. (80 million JPY) global partnership to launch joint projects in India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Nissan also works with Habitat for Humanity Japan, a regional branch of Habitat for Humanity International, to support areas affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake.
